Waugh Bridge Bat Colony

About 300,000 Mexican Free-tailed mama bats and their pups live under the Waugh bridge. At dusk, they begin to swirl and then fly east down the bayou in a stream of fluttering wings to capture a tasty meal and make a dent in our mosquito population. 🦇 It’s a marvelous experience to watch them emerge for the night.
